Product Cleaner (afternoons/ late shift) – Castle Donington
We are a manufacturer of specialist hospital beds and manage over 25% of the UK’s acute bed and mattress fleet, working with more than 150 hospitals across the UK and Ireland.
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Product Cleaners to join our team based in Castle Donington on an afternoon/ late shift.
Your Role:
On completion of your training, as a Product Cleaner, you will be tasked with ensuring effective, timely and efficient cleaning of products to be delivered to the customer site, keeping an inventory of parts and undertaking small repairs to products. All activities are recorded via our job management system.
Main responsibilities of the role
– Cleaning, testing and repairing products and making them ready for use
– Keeping an inventory of products and spare parts
– Ensuring compliance with quality processes, both internal and external
– Meeting daily product preparation targets
– Delivering a timely and appropriate service to the field technicians
– Completing and recording electrical safety testing on products during tasks – you will be fully trained
– Ensuring the cleanliness of the workplace
– Completing daily/weekly activity reports
– Updating relevant IT systems
Experience Required:
To join us as a Product Cleaner, ideally you will need to have or be willing to develop the following qualifications and experience requirements :
- Experience of working within a healthcare setting is desirable
- Knowledge of Infection Control and COSHH would be desirable but full training will be provided
- Basic PC skills to include email and MS Office
Personal Requirements:
- A proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to communicate effectively
- ability to work under own initiative, and follow procedures to achieve deadlines
- Basic knowledge of hygiene and safety rules
- DBS checked (or the willingness to complete one)
Hours are 37.5 hours per week, 2pm – 10.30pm. We have a Thursday to Monday shift available and a Sunday to Thursday shift.
