MMO 8000 bariatric ultra low hospital bed
Gait disturbances and immobility issues in obese patients place these patients at an increased risk of falls. In cases where the patient is able to mobilise from the bed, an ultra low hospital bed with the ability to set a custom-height position can provide an effective part of a falls prevention solution. This is particularly beneficial for patients who are shorter.
The MMO 8000 bariatric ultra low hospital bed offers a platform that will lower to an ultra-low height from the floor, a feature that offers several benefits to the patient and caregiver. Patients who are restless, confused and vulnerable whilst in the bed and are at risk of falling out the bed can be nursed at an ultra-low height, thus ensuring that injury is minimised.
Independent testing has demonstrated that the MMO range of ultra-low beds create zero patient migration during articulation, protecting patients’ skin and reducing the potential for manual handling injury in nursing staff as they no longer need to reposition patients back up the bed.
