Page Sections

Emergency care provision in hospitals is arguably one of the greatest healthcare challenges today. Overall, the patient population is becoming older, frailer, more unwell, larger in size, and presenting to A&E in greater numbers year-on-year. This is compounded by:

  • Overcrowding in hospitals leading to ‘corridor care’ becoming ubiquitous.
  • Year-round pressures of queuing ambulances.
  • Growing time spent in A&E, and a lack of available clinical space.

Introducing the Vela XL Stretcher, uniquely designed to empower caregivers in supporting the needs of ever changing patient requirements – all on one platform.

Its flexibility is unique, minimising delays around safe transfer into hospital without compromising care. Overall, providing a dignified and versatile solution for all patients, regardless of morphology.
