New Product Launch:
Discover how the 'Modern Slavery Act: 2015' influences Medstrom's supply chain policies and procedures, as well impacting its own employee working conditions and standards.

Ethical & Sustainable Trading:

We, as a business, take into consideration the entirety of Section 54 – the ‘Modern Slavery Act: 2015’ and its implications on our own employees and external supply chain procedures. This results in a people-first approach that prioritises high quality working standards and conditions, in addition to a transparent supply chain that is compliant with ethical trading and sustainability standards.

Before any potential supplier partnership is considered, the supplier must legitimately prove their status as an ethical trader, as well as answer the following questions:

  • Do you have a Modern Slavery & Human Tracking policy?
  • What checks do you carry out as a business to confirm an employee’s eligibility to work?
  • Is all employment freely chosen?
  • Do your employees have freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining?
  • Are your working conditions safe and hygienic?
  • Can you confirm that child labour is not used?
  • Can you confirm that wages are fair and comparable to industry standard and working hours are not excessive?
  • Can you confirm no discrimination is practised within the business?
  • Can you confirm no harsh, cruel or degrading treatment or practices are allowed, and no bribery, corruption, blackmailing or bullying is permitted?
  • Can you confirm that agencies supplying workers and your sub-contractors follow a similar code of practice?
