The addition of the Aria Lateral Tilt bed can provide increased protection against pressure ulcers, as well as improving pain management, comfort and sleep. Additionally, it can assist patients with independence and make care delivery and repositioning easier for staff.
Indications for use:
Platform based full body lateral tilt to 18 degrees facilitates 'hands off' repositioning, care, and off-loading. Because it tilts the whole body, not just the torso, it aids respiratory management better and helps prevent other complications of immobility.
Following a risk assessment, patients who are able can use the intuitive bed controls to reposition themselves. As well as more frequent off-loading, this helps to reduce deconditioning and the amount of 'hands on' care needed. It's particularly beneficial for patients experiencing high levels of pain.
The full chair position assists breathing, prepares patients for mobilisation, and helps with eating/drinking. Importantly, the ability to sit up also helps patients who are in bed for long periods of time from a mental health perspective.
The easy to use integrated Class III scale accurately measures the patient's weight, where needed for drug titration, nutrition management, or other reasons. It can even be programmed to automatically take weights, ensuring that the right information is captured at the right time.
