Meet the Medstrom Team: Emma

Meet the Medstrom Team: Emma worked in the NHS from 2000-2013 before moving abroad with her family – living in Turkey, Korea and Czech Republic. During those years, she worked as a health care volunteer, cooking instructor and nutrition coach retrospectively.

Her experience abroad shaped her passion for person‑centred care, and it’s this commitment that now drives her work as a Clinical Partnership Manager at Medstrom.

Read on to discover Emma’s role and the moments that have shaped her journey so far.

Making an impact through patient‑focused partnerships

Emma’s role centres on supporting clinical teams and ensuring patients receive thoughtful, appropriate care. She works closely with staff day to day, offering guidance and education to help build confidence around equipment use and patient support.

She’s particularly interested in how specialist technologies – such as Dolphin Therapy fluid immersion simulation combined with lateral tilt – can enhance patient comfort, recovery and independence when introduced at the right time. For Emma, the real reward comes from working alongside healthcare partners to identify needs early and create safer patient journeys.

No two days are the same, but they’re always rewarding.”

A moment she is proud of

One standout experience for Emma was supporting a patient who had faced significant challenges in their recovery. By introducing the combination of a Dolphin Therapy surface and a lateral tilt bed, whilst working closely with the ward team, she helped build both the patient’s confidence and the staffs.

The patient later shared their story in a powerful testimonial, which remains one of Emma’s proudest achievements!

“Dolphin Therapy – to lay on and to sleep on – was more than comfortable. Plus, to get out of bed [thanks to the combination supporting rehabilitation] was incredibly valuable for my mental health.”- Patient Feedback
