Quality Inspector

Department: Production
Location: Castle Donington

Role Description:
To monitor and lead the Production Quality process within the Production environment, ensuring all product is completed to agreed manufacturing standards and compliance documentation.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
– Viewing inspection of completed product
– Identifying parts for rework and rejection
– Logging exceptions and issues and reporting back to the Production Manager
– Operate clear acceptance and rejection procedures, maintaining records of all inspections carried out and product status achieved
– Issue non-conformance reports and monitor prescribed corrective and preventative actions
– Assist in the compilation of quality data analysis in liaison with the Quality and CI Manager
– Support and monitor quality inspection procedures and work instructions in liaison with the Production Manager
– Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings including dimension and tolerances
– Support the general assembly team, providing cover for holiday and sickness as required
– Maintenance and general housekeeping of allocated production area
– Regular communication with team members and Production Manager to ensure customer schedules are achieved
– To monitor allocated inventory of raw materials and components for manufacture
– To take good care of allocated company tools
– To complete daily/ weekly activity reports
– To update relevant IT systems

Qualifications and experience Requirements:
– Previous experience of a manufacturing environment would be an advantage
– Strong interpersonal skills
– Proven ability to adhere to strict production deadlines is essential

– Flexibility and a team player
– The ability to provide clear and concise communications either verbally or written
– Good team player
– Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude
– Flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to work different shift patterns and provide holiday cover
– Confident and motivated to provide a high level of service to the business and customer

37.5 hours per week
Please note: Overtime will be required to achieve daily production schedules as communicated by the Production Manager
