Production Team Leader

Role Description:
To ensure delivery of manufacturing at the defined quality level in the most efficient way within a busy production environment. Working closely with the Production Manager to provide key support and guidance to all personnel with in the team.

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:
– To deliver an efficient and timely manufacturing function to the business ensuring health and safety regulations and business quality processes are maintained throughout the team
– Assist with the prioritisation of manufacturing requirements ensuring production schedules are achieved.
– Assist and deliver training policies, procedures and processes to production personnel
– To support the Production Manager in KPI delivery and follow up where required
– To follow up corrective action requests within the team and communicate outcomes effectively throughout
– Monitor housekeeping practices within the production environment, ensuring a healthy and safe environment is maintained at all times
– Provide administration support to the Production Manager
– Achieve local KPIs ensuring production issues are highlighted early
– Ensure stock systems are updated in a timely and accurate manner
– To assist in product deliveries and despatch of finished goods
– To participate in and support internal audits of production environment
– To train and supervise new production staff
– To take good care of the granted company vehicle and tools
– To ensure compliance with quality processes, both internal and external (for Medstrom and customers when relevant)
– Investigate and report quality issues along with product incidents providing technical reports as required
– To complete daily/ weekly activity reports

Qualifications and experience Requirements:
– Previous supervisory experience in a busy production environment is essential
– A valid counterbalance forklift licence would be desirable
– Proven ability to adhere to strict production deadlines is essential
– Proven ability of supporting continued learning of team members
– Understanding of computerised production control and quality systems
– Experience of quality control principles
– Understanding of health and safety regulations

– Proven leadership skills with an encouraging approach to team members
– High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
– Good computer skills with the ability to update systems accurately and efficiently
– The ability to provide clear and concise communications either verbally or written
– The ability to provide clear and concise instruction and guidance to team members
– Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive and enthusiastic attitude
– Flexible and adaptable attitude with the ability to work different shift patterns if needed
– Confident and motivated to provide a high level of service to the business and customer

37.5 hours per week
Please note: Overtime will be required to achieve daily production schedules as communicated by the Production Manager
